Just finished this one, critiques and comments are appreciated! This was a hard one to get a picture of. And a hard one to wrap, Pretty thick and high domed! Thanks for looking!

I like how the wrap makes the cab the star.

Great job on a great stone. Although I do like this, I think it might have been better with the fortification at the top. It would be easier to see.

I think you did a great job with that one! You really did let the stone be the star of the show, and that one really deserved to be a star.

I really like it Mike! I get what Tela's saying, but I probably would've wrapped it with the same stone orientation as you did...my "swirls" would've covered up the fortifications if I would have put them at the top!

Thanks Jason! I turned my phone upside down and I'm still trying to decide if it would be worth wrapping again... Anyway, I appreciate it, sir!

How high is the dome? If the dome is pronounced, then when someone wears it as a necklace, the person looking at it would be looking "down" at it rather than straight on as your pictures show it. If that's the case, then the high dome would "mask" the fortifications...whereas if they were at the top, the person looking at the necklace would be seeing the fortifications much better. Woman wearing necklace: "Hey, my eyes are up here!" Me: "Yeah, but your fortifications are down there!"

It's approximately 13 mm thick or so. So I suppose someone wearing it might not be able to look down and see it- but other people would be able to look at the, um, fortifications.

Man, I bet with a high dome that this is a really cool rock to see in person. Like you say though, I find it really hard to get pictures of some rocks. Especially Agates. They are so reflecty that they pick up all forms of light and you can't see details of the rock. I re-took a bunch of pictures yesterday because of this. But I think you really got it here. I can tell how cool the colors in the Fairburn stone are here pretty easily. Nice piece!
