I am actually living in Va, working in Md, but hope to get back to Texas within the next 2-3 years.
I bought a Lortone 33b for $85 back in 2005. Finally got around to oiling it and starting a batch of rocks from Va and Md just this afternoon... very excited!
Simon
PS not sure if this will work but here goes for the picture of the rocks:

Hey Simon, welcome to the forum from South Dakota! It looks like those rocks have a really good start on the tumble thanks to old Mother Nature! Good wishes on the first of many tumbles, I hope!

thanks everyone! Here is the after picture (below). I burped after 24 hours and let it go a full 7 days and this is what came out, I was really surprised at how smooth and clean looking these rocks are after just the first phase. I am having a lot of fun and although I usually hate to clean, even that wasn't a chore! Excited and looking forward to whats next, I am going to think about whether I should pay more attention to same size same hardness and do a new batch from scratch or take these to the next level with finer grit. In any case so glad this forum is here! AFTER: res.cloudinary.com/simontx/image/upload/v1616871512/First%20Rock%20Tumble/IMG_0466_jbv9z1.jpg
