A friend gave me a macro lens, so I had to experiment. Was trying to focus on the upper botryoidal areas of this T-Egg.

He is a professional photographer and the president of a not for profit I am a BOD member of. We met to go over programming for 2021, as I am in charge of programming. He brought his bag of spare DSLR camera parts. Tried everything in bag on my camera and the macro lens was the only compatible one. I paid for breakfast for him and his wife, since I had received over $250.00 in tips over the past couple of days. Spread the love and what I received. Now just need to spend some time learning how to properly use the lens.

My last DSLR was a DiMAGE 7, purchased in 2002. Spent over $1000.00 for it. Unfortunately it died a day after the warranty expired. I was allowed to send it in for repairs at no cost, other than postage. It was lost by manufacturer after I sent it in. They did acknowledge receipt. They said nothing could be done about that, but would send me a new camera at 25% off. I would need to pay for shipping. I declined. Did not want to pay $1000.00 for a new camera.
I am just glad to have a DSLR camera again, even though it is very low end. Looking foreward to learning how to use this new camera.
