Just wanted to take a moment to mention my recent order with Kingsley North. We've been wanting to add another Thumler's Model B to the arsenal for a while and decided to pull the trigger a couple of months ago. The place we were going to get it from has been out this whole time so I decided to go through my bookmarks last week. I called Kingsley North this past Thursday afternoon to order the tumbler but really more to inquire about a listing of rough material they had on their website that was a bit confusing. The material was listed twice, with a slightly different name, different prices, but the same description for each. When I called to ask what the difference was the young lady acknowledged the error on the website, went back into the warehouse to check for me and described the material beautifully. While their price on the tumbler was a bit higher they do not charge shipping on it. It was on my porch before I got home from work today along with some KILLER material. Thanks to the great customer service I am going to funnel more of my business there for sure.

I don’t mind paying extra for good customer service. We have to support these places (as long as they treat us right) or our only options will be Walmart Lapidary, Amazon Rocks, etc. Al

Kingsley is a good company. Vince and I have ordered different things from them for years now. The only bad thing is that they can't get their shipping costs correct on their website. We always call to order from them and they are happy to do the least expensive shipping options available.

I just placed my first order with them; two geysers. Things went relatively smoothly. Shipping was high and probably semi-flat rate.

I think after this experience I’m going to try and get in the habit of ordering by phone, something I have really gotten away from. Al

Ordered purple and green fluorite from them. 95% green. When I reached out to complain, they said they could make it up on the next order. Why would I order it again when it wasn’t right the first time? Fix it first and I’ll consider ordering again...

I just wanted to say I will have to concur with Kingsley North's customer service. I called and told them I kept getting scratches from the 8000 and 14,000 disks I had recently(ish) purchased. Richard was out to lunch (literally - not figuratively!), but the nice lady said she'd have him call me back. Richard called within a half hour or so and I told him about my issue. We discussed a few options that hadn't worked so far - at which point he said he'd send me a different kind of dressing stick as they were out of stock of the aluminum oxide ones they have listed...no charge for the stick or shipping.
He also said he'd advise calling Eastwind and talking to them about the issue and gave me their contact information.
So, beyond pleased with them - they definitely secured a customer for life with this one...

The shipping cost can be concerning, thus I exhaust my brain thinking of anything I may need so I don't have to pay too much in shipping.

They are a great company, but do call them to place your order. It's easier to avoid any misunderstandings, than to have to be refunded the shipping difference. Since I buy 50 lbs of SiO2 at a time, I don't do order often. The first time, I had checked their website and didn't see the flat rate shipping price, so I called and asked. No problemo. The gal (I forget her name) said they just hadn't gotten that option on their website, but they would be taking care of it. Several years go by, I place an order from their website, and they charged me hugely for shipping. In their defense, they did credit me the difference, pushing one hundred dollars difference! I will be calling them when I next purchase a large quantity of grit from them. But that's how you get the best price. LALA (live and learn again) - my sister's new slogan!
