Bobbi has no tail, born that way. I'll try to get a better picture of her highness sometime. They are sisters, they lived under our deck at an apartment and the kids used to throw rocks at them. We moved mama cat and all 6 kittens in. We knew we couldn't keep them, so Tami sat down and said whichever two kitten came to her and let her pet them stayed. We really wanted Bobbi cuz of the no tail. So Dopey was the runt and her and Bobbi came to Tami. The rest of the family went to the humane society.

I just knew there had to be a thread about cats! My two oldest, cousins, 11.5 years: They are Oriental Shorthair, pointy face, big eyes, large ears, long teeth: My youngest (5 years) is a rescue, some type of oriental, and a bit chunky: So when I am not fussing with rocks ...

Kg - I love Scampy's little belly. She looks like she's a very loved cat. Both look like truly cattish explorers/mischief makers in that tree.
deb193 - I can't get over how the orientals & siamese cuddle up together...is it because they're sibs or near the same age?
My girls prefer to scream, yowl, glare and pull each other's fur out at every opportunity. But, Awfulelia was quite a bit older when Domino came into the house...and VERY set in her ways.

This is our very friendly and sociable Siamese cat, named Chloe. She's 3, going on 4 years old. She likes to sit on laps, get scratched, be carried around, play fetch (just like a dog... brings it back so that you can throw it again), and likes to make everybody's business her own business. Just about every good kitty I've had was a Siamese. Some folks think they are mean, but that's so far from the truth it's pathetic. Mine is a real pest named Buster, and he's into just about everything I do. However, I can leave everything on my desks, and come back after being out with everything just exactly the way I left it! They are the most loyal breed that anybody could ever own. And oh yes, Buster is soft and affectionate to anybody and anything he sees. MrCoffee Gosh, if I could just add a blue point wegie to my kitty collection....

Hey, we got some of the best daggoned cats I have seen in a long time! I am not anti dog, I just do not get the peace around a dog I do a cat. Siamese cats are a trip. I once had a blue point, I named him Froggy. I then had an entire litter of Absynians. All black with crossed blue eyes. I had two favourites. One I named Girl. She was a female, one I named Dog. I always wanted a cat named Dog. Girl, Doggie, and Froggy were buddies, the others, Junkyard, T-Bird, Whale, Dimwit, and Mouse were loners who did little more than eat enough for four others each, and fill the litter box. Doggie had style. I even trained him to sit up and Bark! I often equate living with my second ex-wife as taking a shower with a cat. Let me assure you. Shutting the glass door on the shower and turning on the shower head is not like letting Kitty play with water. You bleed a lot! I thought Doggie liked water but I was not prepared for that, for sure. Cats are cool.

deb193 - I can't get over how the orientals & siamese cuddle up together...is it because they're sibs or near the same age? Yes. Born 5 days apart, and together all of their lives. Lots of cats raised together do become affectionate, and sometimes even older cats - if they have a good temperament. There is some tension with the 3rd one, and every month or so a bit of a scuffle. AND they never cuddle with him, but sometimes roll over when sleeping on the sofa and do not realize who they are touching. There is generally an 8-inch de-militarized zone, and the little female did literally sleep with one eye open for the 1st year after the "new" cat.

Speaking of cat tales... My Huey has a tale to write home about. Unbelievably bushy and soft. And apparently it won't fit in the kitty condo when he's napping, he has to stick it out of the second floor window. I actually took 4 photo's and this was the best one. He couldn't be bothered with the flash of the camera. cookie

Ok, I can share pics of my kittes too first one is Franklin, who's nickname is "trouble" and for good reason. He's still a teenager... and acts it. Next up is Momma kitty (Katrina) with her four kittens. Third is a shot of just her kittens. The last one is a shot of Katrina and her sister Francis, who was Franklin's mom. We lost her not long after this shot was taken. These guys are also ragdoll siamese. Katrna looks very much like a bluepoint, till you notice the faint tabby markings on her face and the white feet. Franklin has more tabby markings and darker points like his mom had, though he hasn't quite gotten the ringed tail his mother had. Wonderful cats, and those baby blue eyes! Heh. Surprisingly soft spoken for a siamese mix, though they have no trouble letting you know when they want somehting, lol.

Hi everyone, This is our newest addition to our family: Her name is Elly. She is an F4 Brown Spotted Bengal Cat. Apparently an F4 means that the cat is a fourth generation since the original cross breeding of the wild cat. Robin, my wife has always wanted one of these cats, so, she once again has been spoiled ;D This cat was rescued from an animal shelter in Colorado and spared a certain terrible fate. She is very loveable and is slowly finding her way around the house and getting acquainted with our dog Zues (a yellow lab). Doc, you are partially responsible for this ... ;D When my wife seen your cats, she instantly fell in love with them. So, thanks buddy ;D Take care, Bear

Wow, it's been a while since I read this thread. I just more or less just skimmed through the latest pictures, and went off to the next post. How embarrassing Anyway, I noticed there were a few "comments" about my cat Chloe (posted on the 1st page) Alice, Chloe is a pudin! I love siamese, they are so intelegent. But, unfortunately, they bond to the owner and don't care for intruders. Keep her as an only cat and she will be wonderful companoin for a long time. cookie Thanks Cookie. I got Chloe when she was about 2 years old. She's been moved around from one owner to the next. Her first owner gave her to a friend of mine (along with a Male Siamese) because she wanted to have dogs instead of cats. So, my friend took Chloe and her "hubby" in, had a littler of babies and kept 1 kitten. So in the house they had 3 cats, a dog, and a hamster. My friend and I were talking on the phone one day, and she was telling me how taking care of all the animals and her own husband are getting to be a little too much for her. I personally have never seen her cats (just heard about them over the phone), but I did see Siamese kittens at the pet store, so I had an idea what they looked like in real life (not in cartoon). So I told her that I'd take the female cat provided it was fixed and de-clawed in the front. (It was time to get the kids a pet anyway) No problem, Chloe was already de-clawed and fixed after her littler of kittens. Well, My friend's husband drives by with a cardboard box. Comes upstairs and hands me the box. I open it and all I see is a feminine rat like figure (head too small for it's body with big ears). I looked up at the husband and had to ask "This is a cat?" LOL He really didn't know how to react. Anyway, she's grown on us, and she's starting to look like a cat now She's certainly good company to me and the kids. I don't ever see us giving her away. You're right about them bonding to the owner. She never leaves my side / lap unless I'm going of in the car somewhere. She follows me everywhere with a pipe cleaner in her mouth (hoping I'll throw it for her). My friend told me it's much quieter around the house without Chloe. She was always causing trouble & Mischief, and was an instigator (Always picking "play" fights with the other cats). I see that behavior here all the time, but it doesn't get to me (like it did with my friend). She's definately a keeper!

My cat is the same way Mr.C My cat doesn't throw papers around or make a mess. But she sure does love to paw after my printer cartridge while the printer is printing If someone she doesn't know happens to walk through the door, she'll automatically go and "sniff" them out. What she's looking for? I have no idea. But after she's done with the person, she'll come and sit by my feet, sit on my lap (Depends if I'm standing or sitting), or drape herself over my shoulder.
