6.4 pounds of biggs opal,9 pounds of Misty mountain and. 11 pounds of mookaite delivered by the mailman. I broke the knob on my vise. I will buy a different vise and a new blade and will see if I can use a clamp now. Power is off and I'm struggling type with a tablet.

I have some pony clamps, but they are too long. I bought a 12 inch piece of 1/2 inch pipe that I think will work and a 12 inch pony clamp. The blade has use left, but I'm going to replace it so don't mind ruining it. What I can buy is the outer jaw of the vise and the tightening assembly. I haven't got a price and will get one when I'm ready to order. The blade was slightly out of round and cut fine but there was a lot of vibration and I over tightened the vise.

My clamp arrived yesterday and it worked reasonably well. The problem is that the carriage is loose and rotates causing the blade to jam so I had to baby sit the saw to get a little done. I made two cuts on the misty mountain so I could reposition the rock in the vise to access the orby area. Blade kept jamming so I gave up until I figure out how to fix the saw. The Mook is large so I cut off a 2 inch chunk and a slab to be able to change the orientation in the vise. I cut one slice of the Biggs opal. A very unpleasant day, .
