I just posted a video on how I make beads for my wife's Pandora bracelet. This was made for the Maker's Challenge, created by another YouTuber. There will be fourteen videos in the challenge and I thought a lot of them were really interesting. Some were done by beginners with very little equipment and others were done in full shops. There is a list of the other videos in the description of my video. That last few are coming out this weekend.

Fantastic video Rob! I would've thought it was a bit more complicated of a process, but this is something even I could do!

Jugglerguy I want your machines, you make them seem so versatile. I really like the bead idea. Maybe I will get as crafty as you.

Nice beads!
I saw the pizza post on FB the other day. Glad to see a video of it from one of the other makers.

Cool to see how you make them. If I can find some thick enough slabs, I think I might just try one.
Watching a few others, too.

Excellent video, Rob! I just spent the last hour or so watching it as well as several of the other videos in that challenge.
There is some great work and I hope there is at least another round of challenge videos!

Great video Rob. Not having a true slab saw we commonly end up with a slab that is a bit thick for cabbing and usually tumble them. Thanks for giving us another option.

You don't really have ro use thick slabs, you can make short beads too. A friend of mine makes them shorter: www.etsy.com/shop/MemoriesOfMichigan

I tumble the last slab that comes off my saw most of the time because they're usually somewhat wedge shaped. Although with these, it's pretty easy to correct a wedge shape on the flat lap when you're grinding off the blow out from drilling.

Fantastic video Rob! You do such a good job and they just keep getting better. You're the David Attenborough of rocks.

Fantastic video Rob! You do such a good job and they just keep getting better. You're the David Attenborough of rocks. I wish. I just spent about an hour and a half the other night trying to spit out about three minutes of a wrap up for a video. I just kept messing up. That happens a lot with the inside videos when my face is on camera and I'm just talking. You'd think I'd get better at it, but I don't. I'm glad it the finished products look good though. Thanks for the confidence booster.
