All of these encouraging posts and pictures are making me want to start bidding against myself... I really need to stop looking at the updates. Those last pictures of green petrified wood are so nice that I’m starting to feel guilty about not bidding enough. Let’s up that last bid to $90. Or better yet, $95. Still too low? Let’s make it $100. (For the record, yes, I am bidding against myself. And yes, I am bidding $100.) Good for you! You'd make a brilliant negotiator. That's a whole bunch of nice looking material, somebody's going to have fun with it.

Yay! Great auction! Those last additions were really sweet! (Of course, I'm a sucker for pink limb cast, too, though.) Lucky you Brian.

Party’s over, congratulations Brian on your winning bid! Thanks for your generosity, and thanks to jasoninsd and USMC15 for participating. Woohoo!!! Thanks for donating all of those amazing rocks, @jadedvision! Those additions look amazing and I cannot wait to see that green pet wood in person.

My attention to detail is lacking. I had in mind these things usually end on a Friday and I missed the boat. My 'swoop in at the last second' plan did not materialize. I would have broken my 'no auction' mandate. I do still hate auctions, by the way...
I might just have to offer my own material for auction, so I don't have to participate in the bidding.
Great haul, Brian. Congrats on the win, I expect to see some great follow-up pictures of this generous offering.

(Don't tell @jadedvision, but I would have been happy with just that gravel.) The limb cast additions sealed the deal for me. And then the green pet wood and rainbow obsidian. It was like having all of my favorites piled on. If you can't tell, I'm a little excited about all of these goodies.

Not that I'm complaining or anything... I'll try my best to get photos that do this material justice!

I just want to give a great big public thanks to @jadedvision for the gravel auction. The box arrived the other day, but the craziness of life kept me from opening it up until today. I wanted to enjoy it, but I never thought I would have so much fun opening a box of rocks as I did this one. My kids and I were blown away when we opened up the box. It was all so amazing that I had to share some pictures. First of all, it was some of the nicest packaging I have ever seen and I'm not even talking rocks. These rocks were packed with so much care that I had to stop and take photos of it. The first level had the limb casts, the petrified wood, obsidian, and agates, along with a couple pieces of the gravel. The next level had each piece of gravel completely separated from its neighbor by cardboard. And the rocks were even better than I had hoped for! We had to check out the limb casts first because my daughter couldn't believe there were actually pink pieces in there. I got distracted and forgot to take individual shots of some things, so here is a group shot. The green petrified wood is simply incredible. Such a rich, deep green. It's unlike any petrified wood I have ever seen before. The next visual treat was the obsidian. One side gave a nice glimpse of some nice silver streaks, but the real surprise was the purple sheen coming through the other side. Needless to say, my daughter was super excited to see that purple glow. My wife had a good laugh when we got to the main event, the "gravel." My 6-year old said the gravel around us must be really dirty because it doesn't look anything like this gravel. I wish we could wash that gray stuff to get to colors like this stuff. Even though it was raining, we took it outside to get some shots in better lighting. Here's a few of our favorite pieces. This one is probably my favorite of the batch due to the fracture filled with green. We had so much fun looking at the gravel that we didn't even get a chance to check out the agates. We will save those nuggets for another day. We already threw some of that gravel into the Lot-O to see how it will polish up! One more big thanks to @jadedvision !

Removing the photos from the repost, so I don't have to drool over them another time, lol. And a little of the text. And thanks for the post; great narrative and pictures, brian . You definitely earned that "win."
