Removing the photos from the repost, so I don't have to drool over them another time, lol. And a little of the text. I just want to give a great big public thanks to @jadedvision for the gravel auction. The box arrived the other day, but the craziness of life kept me from opening it up until today. I wanted to enjoy it, but I never thought I would have so much fun opening a box of rocks as I did this one. My kids and I were blown away when we opened up the box. It was all so amazing that I had to share some pictures. First of all, it was some of the nicest packaging I have ever seen and I'm not even talking rocks. These rocks were packed with so much care that I had to stop and take photos of it. The first level had the limb casts, the petrified wood, obsidian, and agates, along with a couple pieces of the gravel. The next level had each piece of gravel completely separated from its neighbor by cardboard. My wife had a good laugh when we got to the main event, the "gravel." My 6-year old said the gravel around us must be really dirty because it doesn't look anything like this gravel. I wish we could wash that gray stuff to get to colors like this stuff. Even though it was raining, we took it outside to get some shots in better lighting. Here's a few of our favorite pieces. We already threw some of that gravel into the Lot-O to see how it will polish up! One more big thanks to @jadedvision ! Wow, we can all learn from that packaging! Great job, @jadedvision . And thanks for the post; great narrative and pictures, brian . You definitely earned that "win." Good point. I forgot to acknowledge @jadedvision for the packaging as well as the material! Way to set the packaging bar pretty high!

I had a fun time boxing it all up and saying goodbye to each rock lol! Sometimes you have to just wave goodbye to a good thing!

Talk about a coincidence, @jadedvision! That was a lucky conversation leading to the tumbler space.
That gravel looks like it is going to tumble really well and I will be sure to post pictures of the results.I’m still amazed at the colors in it.

I’m excited to see how the gravel tumbles, Brian please keep us posted! Here’s a funny little story from the day I mailed that box. So I don’t own any tumblers other than a little vibrasonic because I’m on a stand alone solar system, constant power draws all night take a toll on my batteries so I don’t do it. I had just mailed this box and was waiting in line to pay for some gas when this guy ahead of me starts talking with the cashier about a recent fossil dino skull find he made! Well I got to talking with the guy while pumping gas and followed him back to his place down the street to see this skull, which turned out to be a suggestively shaped limestone. While i’m Politely trying to tell this dude he doesn’t have a dino skull and get the hell out of there, I look over his shoulder and he’s got this massive 4 barrel lortone tumbler outside his shop. I mentioned it and he told me I can use it whenever I want! I may have to keep an eye out for more gravel! lol Was it this guy?? www.ebay.com/itm/Prehistoric-saint-Bernard-by-the-skull-he-was-over1200lbs-multi-colored-gems/284252008426?hash=item422ebd6fea:g:YXYAAOSwcbVgXqMW
