Finished this one yesterday afternoon, it's a twin to the one I posted here: I'm mostly happy with how it turned out, although the wires in front of the bail aren't as neat as the first I think I still like it.
Thanks for looking!

Pretty! Thank you, Robin! I need to start crimping the binding wires a little harder I think- the one on the bottom moved off-center.

Thank you, Beth! I'm starting to be able to do these fairly quickly, I think I need to change things up a bit and challenge myself some more. Not to say each one doesn't have it's own challenges, but I've been doing the same basic thing for a while now...

You could try doing the weaved bail. I really like this one Mike. I've noticed such an improvement in your wrapping ability over the last several months. (Since you mentioned you worked for the radio stations, note, I did not say "rapping" ability! )

Pretty! Thank you, Robin! I need to start crimping the binding wires a little harder I think- the one on the bottom moved off-center. Just remember to give them a good squeeze when you have them where you want them. They won't move on you then. Don't squeeze them too hard, though, or you won't be able to do your pulls.

Thanks for posting this Robin! Without realizing it, this is were I've been struggling. I've been crimping the CRAP out of the binding wires, which causes me to damage the wire when trying to pull it because it's so difficult to move...DUH!!! Sometimes I need to get hit in the head with a brick to "get it"!

I think it is really expressive. You have some nice loopdy-loops at the top that helps to match the character of the lines in the stone. You did a nice job with the cab, bringing out the best features of the material using a freeform. I am starting to produce more symmetrical shapes lately, as I have been lost in freeform-freefall for the past year I think. Hehe.

I think I mentioned this once before but I did get some templates. I drew out a few cabs, but it seems like every time I try to tell the stone what I want it to be it just laughs at me and does whatever it wants. It seems like freeforms are a bit more difficult to wrap but each cab seems to present it's own challenges no matter the shape. At least for me.
