1. Dendritic Opal — 35 x 22 mm2. Plume Agate - 36 x 30 mm Can you see what I see?* 3. Opalized Petrified Wood — 39 x 24 mm4. Noreena — 34 x 26 mm Not a cab, of course. I had this small, relatively thin, leftover piece with a nice pattern. Too thin to cab (for me), I decided to freehand facet it on my flat lap. Just a girdle with one row of crown facets and a table. There's a very slight discontinuity in the plane of the table that is visible if the light is just right, but I'm pleased with this one. * Can you see the Koala? It's easier to see in hand, but it's there.

Beautiful batch!
I see a white dove flying away in #2. I see the koala peeking out, too.

My color vision is off. I see a stumpy alligator in the second picture.

For the life of me, I don't see a koala. I know "He lives somewhere out on the track, Mac". Nice job on shape and polish.

Can’t see the koala but someone needs to zip up.*
The opalized wood’s my pick of the litter, has a nice burly look to it.
* Oops, wrong cab. I’m looking in the noreena.

I really like the wood, too. It seems to have a lot of depth.

Thank you all for your appreciative comments. If you couldn't see the Koala, here it is:
I suppose that it could be a polar bear cub, too.

Gary these are fantastic! Thanks for pointing out the koala! I couldn't see it until you pointed it out... I will also say, as others have, that Opalized Petrified Wood is top of the class in this one (to me)! However, I also love what you did with the Noreena.

I can see the koalas in the noreenas, and your dove, and... a gorilla in the first one. I like them all, zoo included. Thanks!

Koalas in the Noreena photos??! Huh?
It took me a while, but I think that I see your gorilla, Pat. Is it an albino?

Like the Noreena. The shape especially reminds me of the cabojohns of many years ago.

Thanks for highlighting the koala, I couldn’t see it! I really like the cut you did on the Noreena, and the wood is off the charts. Thanks for sharing!

Cabojohn? Is that an actual lapidary term?
