Like the Noreena. The shape especially reminds me of the cabojohns of many years ago. Cabojohn? Is that an actual lapidary term?

rockpickerforever Link needs a fix. It leads right back to the page you’re on, whether that’s Recently Updated Posts or One of These is Not Like the Others. Weird. Delete cabojohn-name on the end and it works fine.

The story behind Cabojohns:
Years ago, an early (2003) member here, John Sands, made his own style of cabs, they had flat tops. He called them "cabojohns". He was a fun guy. RIP, John, we will always remember you. Thank you. I'll be sure to use it if and when I make another.

Delete cabojohn-name on the end and it works fine. Funny, I just clicked on the link and it worked fine. I normally check them before posting, but since I just copied and pasted text from a post I made last May or June, August, didn't think there would be any problem. rockjunquie , yes, Sands lives on in the lives of all the people he touched. I received an email a couple years ago,from a woman who's name I don't recall. She had half a dozen John had sent to her, and asked me if I would like them. They are now in my possession. I do miss him - and jakesrocks , and tom , and johnw ... I miss all of them, and more. Edit to add - Okay, parfive, it started not working for me, so I have corrected it in the original post. Still don't understand what was wrong... But it works now. |
