So I just googled Wingate Pass Plume Agate...it sure looks like a dead ringer to me!! Holy Smokes I think I'd still be passed out if I would've found that! Flat out gorgeous!

Yeah I agree. Wingate, though beautiful, often has real issues with soft, pitted or porous areas, especially in the yellow zones. Lots of voids in the agate too. I cheat on the cabs by sometimes using super glue or some other filler. Works pretty well but way too much work.

I think my brain might actually explode next time I read an "I picked up a bucket of old rocks from some guy and found [insert name of incredibly rare, valuable and extraordinary material] in it" post
