Holy smokes. I can narrow it down to four favorites.
Yes, I can now confirm the moss agate is from Area 54 in the Panoche Hills of Central California. Self-collected ona field trip led by A former member of this group.

I was telling my wife about it and accidentally said Area 51...she raised an eyebrow on that one before I could correct myself! LOL

Again with the lace agates. You people are killing me! I lost a real nice Missouri lace can the other night. It just went POP at a fortification line and that's all she wrote (oh well into the tumbler it goes!). I have a couple preforms waiting in the jar but they are at least a week away. Also have some chunks bouncing around in a couple different tumbler barrels but man I want to cab some! That Area 54 miss is stellar also! Job well done!

Apparently good things happen when Area 51 crosses over with Studio 54! That is beautiful!
Those flor de durazno have such incredible fortifications! That last batch in particular was just begging to be subjected to the macro lens.

I've been to area 54 a few times and have never come across something like that.

It is pretty incredible stuff. LOL I think the Area 54 name was chosen just to make people say Area 51.

Here's two more Flor de Durazno Lace Agates from tonight. I love the fortifications in these. Not all the Flor de Durazno I picked up had intricate fortifications like these... Wow! I love the botryoidal fortifications. That’s something you definitely don’t see every day.

Also have some chunks bouncing around in a couple different tumbler barrels but man I want to cab some! That Area 54 miss is stellar also! Job well done! Thanks Stefan! I've got some Laguna Lace that is like that Missouri...very "brittle" at some of the fortification lines...and my anxiety goes WAY up when I'm grinding those! LOL Apparently good things happen when Area 51 crosses over with Studio 54! That is beautiful! Those flor de durazno have such incredible fortifications! That last batch in particular was just begging to be subjected to the macro lens. Thanks Brian! There have been SO many of these which I SO wanted a good camera with a great macro lens! LOL - The weird thing about that Flor de Durazno is that not all of it has that finite fortification patterning. The first 20 pounds I bought was like this...the second 20 pounds had wider and less intricate banding in it. I was a bit disappointed with that second batch...but I'll still work it! LOL Beautiful cabs, Jason! Well done. Thanks Robin!!! I loved working these. They both were easy enough to get a nice polish on them...which I'm all for...the easier the better! LOL Thanks Stephan! Glad we have a confirmation on that! I love that material. I was telling my wife about it and accidentally said Area 51...she raised an eyebrow on that one before I could correct myself! LOL I wish I’d found a bigger piece of that moss agate. It is pretty incredible stuff. LOL I think the Area 54 name was chosen just to make people say Area 51. I'm glad I still have a bit more of the Alien moss...oh wait...that's the stuff from Area 51, not the Area 54 Moss Agate! LOL And yes...the botryoidal fortifications are some of my favorite to see show up! Thanks Mike! I posted some Thunderegg cabs in another thread and thought of you when I was posting them. They have become some of my favorite cabs to work...
