Here are some wraps I did this week. Most of the cabs were finished this week as well. I'm going to need to get some bits for my Dremel to buff the wires as I see some damage to the wire in some spots. I know there's more "bling" on these than some would prefer...but I'm having fun with them. There's several with the same design...and all of them pretty much have the same theme. I haven't learned a new one yet. LOL Pic 1 - South Dakota Prairie Agate Pic 2 - Shell Canyon Agate Pic 3 - Ohio Flint Pic 4 - Autumn Leaves Jasper (kinda) Pic 5 - Nevada Wonderstone Pic 6 - Cold Mountain Thunderegg Pic 7 - Flor de Durazno Lace Agate Pics 8-11 - Thundereggs Pics 12-13 - Black Skin Agate I really liked the simple wrap on the Wonderstone as I think it accentuated the stone rather than the wrap. The Cold Mountain Thunderegg is definitely one of my favorite stones this week. The Flor de Durazno Lace Agate is one of my all-time favorite cabs I've done - I just love the intricate fortifications in that one. Thundereggs have become some of my favorite cabs to do...and I just love that last moss cab. I don't know if I'll be able to part with that last Black Skin Agate wrap pictured. LOL As always, thanks for taking a gander and critiques and comments are always welcomed. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Pic 6 Pic 7 Pic 8 Pic 9 Pic 10 Pic 11 Pic 12 Pic 13

Very nice cabs and wraps, Jason! You must really like to weave- and you're good at it. That flint looks like a piece of candy or some sort of dessert with icing dripping down... 🙂

That is a great looking batch of wraps, Jason! I agree with Tela about the silver on white looking sharp. To my eyes at least, it looks like you are getting tighter weaves on the bails because they are looking very clean and neat. All of your lines are looking crisp.

I have an entire spool of that 28 gauge wire, so I gotta do something with it! LOL. I really do like the looks of the weaved bail and don't mind doing it... apparently! LOL My wife keeps ooohing and ahhhing over that Flint cab! She sees a desert scene...I think you're closer with the dessert! What a great group of wraps an cabs! I'm really liking #7 white on white with silver wire- looks sooo good! Thanks Tela! I've had that cab done for quite awhile without really wanting to wrap it. It was the last wrap I did late last night. I went to bed not happy with the bail. I may try to redo those twists and tighten them up a little more...

That Flor de Durazno is probably another cab/wrap that will never leave my possession. I love that bugger! I appreciate the comment about the weaving. I feel like I'm getting better at it...but feel like I could still improve a bit more. So, I'll probably just keep doing them! LOL

Great job as usual.. I like them all and could not pick a fav. I have loved watching you progress in your wrapping skills. Most inspiring for those of us wanting to give it a try.

Thanks so much Steven! When I first started this journey, I didn't think I'd do anything more than hounding. But that progressed to tumbling. Then I kept looking at the cabs on here and thought I'd give that a shot. I never intended to wire wrap. I didn't think I'd really enjoy it...but I really kinda do! It reminds me of the old Life cereal commercials with Mikey! LOL

Nicely done, I really like the Ohio Flint and the Cold Mountain Thunder egg. Thank you so much! I wish I could get a better pic of that Cold Mountain Thunderegg. The polish turned out really good on that one, and the stone itself is really stunning to me.

LOL - As soon as it's warm enough that I can use that Liver of Sulpher OUTSIDE! LOL Actually, I've been wanting to use it, just haven't yet. I'm running low on silver wire, so I know it's getting closer. I think that patina will/should go with just about any color of stone that I've got in the piece.
