So, I tried to add a piece of wire in the bottom binding. I know this will be too much wire on the front of the cab for some people, but it's the first time I tried this...and I kind of like the effect. The cab is some kind of Jasper (I believe) that I find quite frequently around here in South Dakota.

Thanks Walt! This kind of gives me an idea for some future wraps, but we'll see if it works out or not.

Might not work with a busier stone, but it’s well-done and looks good with this one. In general, I’m of the less-is-more persuasion, but I appreciate the artistic effect, and know several people who would snap that up in a hot second.

I think I'm getting a little better about choosing which stone can accept a greater amount of lipstick and rouge! (Not always...but getting better. LOL)

I hope you’re not calling that cab a pig. It will stand on its own quite well, too.

I like when cabs with few/no patterns are wrapped in this style. It can bring a not so spectacular cab to something special.

Looks nice, Jason. I agree that sometimes less is more, but on this stone the wire, even the color, work so well.

I was going to pick a different cab to try this with, but opted for this one. The other had pattern on it, so I didn't want any conflict. Looks nice, Jason. I agree that sometimes less is more, but on this stone the wire, even the color, work so well. Thanks Tela! In the future, I probably won't do this with a stone as small as this one. I think it would look better on a stone with a little more room on the dome.

I like it, too, Jason. I'm wondering how it would look with the curls on the bottom and no curls on the top- just the swoops? Regardless, I think this works well with the cab and copper was a great choice for color.

Agree with everyone above. Late to the party on this one.
These types of stones are also good for doing Tree of Life wraps on.

Regardless, I think this works well with the cab and copper was a great choice for color. Thanks Mike! I thought about doing just the bottom curls, but went all-out on it anyway! LOL - I'm going to try a couple different variations with this and see what happens. Looks nice, Jason. I agree that sometimes less is more, but on this stone the wire, even the color, work so well. Yes, I forgot to mention that copper was a great choice for this one. Thanks for the reminder. One of these days I will finish passing that brain stone. Thanks Tela! It was either copper...or copper for this one! LOL - I'm low on silver and just haven't ordered any just yet...something I need to do this week. (It would've been copper even if I did have silver though. ) Agree with everyone above. Late to the party on this one.

Thanks Robin! Don't worry about being late...it's a great way to make a grand entrance...and the party never stops! Totally agree with the Tree of Life possibility. I actually have a Vesuvianite cab sitting to the side just waiting for exactly the Tree of Life wrap...just another one on the "to-do" list.
