Wow, I think these both turned out great! Making one for your Mother-In-Law, that takes some guts...

Thanks Mike! I was happy to do it for her. She's always doing stuff for the family...the "farm" family...which is all their kids as well as their spouses and all the grandkids. She's a heckuva seamstress and is always making quilts for people. Plus, she makes my father-in-law and me Velveeta cheese sandwiches with salsa melted a little into the cheese...which are amazingly good when out hounding!

If I took you over to their house when you come up here, you'd be a part of the family before we got our shoes off at the front door...they're just that type of people. Yes, I did.

Both of those are really nice! Thanks Ali! I wish I had a better camera (no, I'm not going to get one right now) to really show the shine on these.

I really like both of them jasoninsd. Your MIL is gonna have a heck of a time deciding. Why don't you just give her both of them in payment for the Velveeta and salsa sammiches.

I will if she can't decide. However, I know her plans for it will only take one...at least I think...so she might have to change her design to incorporate both. LOL My own mother had her 75th b-day last month. I told her she could pick out one of any of the wraps I'd done so far as a b-day present...she couldn't narrow it down, so she left with more than one! LOL

I love that your mom liked your wraps so much she couldn't decide. That's a supreme compliment in my book!

Those look great. Tough choice for sure although I'm not exactly sure that first one is Rocky Butte Picture Jasper, it looks more like Biggs. The Rocky Butte Jasper I have has more colors in it than browns.

I really like the composition on the first one. My mom is 89 and likes to go through all my finished tumbles looking for ones that remind her of animals. I have to do separate tumbles in the lot-0 to keep enough of the rough shape.

The Rocky Butte Jasper I have has more colors in it than browns. Thanks Diane! I understand on the ID. I've got several different pieces of Rocky Butte. The majority of what I see as Rocky Butte has green tones or blue tones in it. But every once in a while, there are pieces with browns only... That being said, I know this is definitely "picture jasper". I will if she can't decide. My mother-in-law liked them both, but she decided on the first one. She said it looked like you were looking around a tree on the right side to a hillside scene in the distance. I told her she passed the Rorschach test! LOL I think it's awesome that your mom still likes to see your "artwork"...I feel the same way when my mom sees the things I've done too.

It is, now that I have some magnet information from Benathema. Maybe I will get some "Artwork" put on her refrigerator just like old times.
