I really hate doing this even though it was over 10 years before I had a slab saw, but since my slab saws don't work now, I went old school. First pictures are the backs and second is the face.
I had a split Royal Imperial nodule that I took two slabs off of, an Owyhee heel that I hacked up, a Lucin Variscite piece of rough that had one decent area. I took a slab off of that and the back is not in good shape. I will grind it down and see if it improves. A good piece of Morgan Hill that I took a slice off a rough area and will work around the fractures.
