One hundred thousand years is a blink of an eye in evolutionary time.
Lately I've been pondering the concept of beauty in the human psyche and was thinking it was unique to the human species... till I remembered seeing "objects de arte" in packrat middens and some bower birds are well known to collect beautiful items.

How to out intelligent nature? I think that may very well be nature's goal Why else create a creature w/ self-aware consciousness? Or it may just be easier to go with the flow ha Self-awareness consciousness can emulate so much of nature. The wily deceptiveness, and yes, nature even creates art; which seems sometimes just for art sake. And Sometimes nature is even cooperative and nurturing But mostly its just take advantage at every turn or Nature is certainly an imponderable Lucky humans,,,
