Hi,
I just started tumbling a few months ago and am having a gas. I have so much to learn, and have been watching every youtube channel I can about geology and rock tumbling. The rocks here in Nebraska are interesting as there is a lot of chert, flint, and chalk, and it's been fun combing the sides of roads for rocks! I didn't realize there was chalk in my driveway until this morning. I'm going to walk a few miles soon to an old limestone quarry, what fun!
Anyway, thank you for this forum, it's really been a great help. I hope to improve with all of your help.
Kay

Hey Kay! Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I figured miket was going to chime in on this thread! You've got a lot more interesting rocks than just chalk down there in Nebraska...you've got the granddaddy of them all! Fairburn Agates! I think it's awesome you're having fun with the tumbling...and you've come to the right place if you're looking for enablers! LOL

Like golf, rock hounding is an excuse to be out of doors, and in addition it has rewards when you come home with something you are proud to show your friends. Enjoy the walk.
