I'm new to tumbling and have just completed a few batches, but find I really want to be able to polish some larger peices I've collected and am looking at Dremel tools. Could anyone provide any suggestions re corded or cordless in terms of performance?

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I have an idea that you'd be a lot happier with the corded version. I don't believe the battery powered one is as powerful as the corded - and the battery definitely doesn't last as long as you'd like. I'm going to tag miket as he makes his cabs with a dremel...

Welcome from Wisconsin. I use a corded Dremel tool with the flex shaft for detail work and diamond angle grinder pads on a flexible Rubber base pad for large areas.
