MFRB of mainly Owyhee from Roy arrived today. My saw is reliable and slow so it will take a while just to face it. I know relatives of the rock in the upper left so I'm starting on that one. Upper right is an agate that looks interesting.

First slab. Next piece. Facing cut showed nothing, so I cut a 1 inch slab and now there is more than nothing and 3 inches left on the piece.

I was wondering what in the world this thread could be about. When I clicked on it and saw- I got a good chuckle. Nice play on words.

In your blue-circled portion, I see a horse head looking left.

This one was weird. It will be interesting what the slabs from the small end look like.

The most commercial piece so far. Two slabs off the narrow end and 2 pounds left on the rock. All that is missing is dendrites.

I doubt this one is Owyhee. It has a nice pattern.

All the Owyhee is faced. I have the agate to face and take a slab. The HP 10 was a pleasure to use. Carriage didn't shift and the vertical vise is a great feature for small rough. The only issue was the carriage release lever which could be balky. The saw is louder than the Covington, the motors not the blade. No point slabbing now since I have slabs to work on. When I need more, I'll glue to blocks and slab the pieces.

The agate is pretty but the slab is unusable. Some cold rainy day in the winter, I'll make some cuts from the other side.
