I have not yet stumped you wonderful folks here, but this may very do it. It has certainly driven me crazy the last five years. I'll describe this briefly and then answer any questions you may have. Thanks in advance for your insights. I make a consumer product of a very strange plastic called casein. It is derived from a milk derivative. They use to make jewelry out of this material, esp in Europe. Here's the problem. This stuff hates everything -- heat, sanding and ESPECIALLY water (it turns to mush). I cut all my materials with laser, then tumble them, dry, in a Raytech vibratory tumbler in 150-fit Aluminum Oxide, to remove char, debur the edges, and then radius the edges. It works like a champ. But this stuff? Naw. It warps and bends slightly. Even at 1.50 mm thick, it warps. I assume it's from the heat and friction of the grit. Any ideas how to get around this? It's driving me nuts. I appreciate your insights. Thank You, RRR

Just a thought as the vibe will be moving this stuff pretty rapidly and build up some heat (as you clearly understand). Have you tried it in a rotary? I'm thinking corn cob or Walnut shell as a filler.

This subject should be asked once and then discussed in the same thread. Asking the same question in 6 threads is a little excessive.

Agreed, I'm always so busy that I was unaware of all those posts. I'll ask the mods to remove a few of them. RRR
