I bargain hunt for material. I got some gemmy old stock Ocean Jasper. The problem with the piece was the poppies were only on the surface.
I didn't want to make a flat top so I made the lowest possible dome. Grinding can change poppies to blobs. Through 280 soft and I don't think I'll lose much more finishing it.
