Are we sure we are looking at true Dendritic or a common Opal (Diatomite) that lacks organic matter such as fern, moss, or branch/tree" like patterns.....which would be a rare find outside of Australia......?

All i can say is i bought it labeled as dendritic opal from gems by mail along with some australian pink opal. Here is closeup of rough.

From that angle, it looks like as advertised.......with careful "carving" it should turn out some really great cab's......nice find standles, looking forward to the finished product...!

From that angle, it looks like as advertised.......with careful "carving" it should turn out some really great cab's......nice find standles, looking forward to the finished product...! Thanks, Yep those first couple of slices were the start of finding the right angle to slice at.
