I thought it would be a nice idea to create a thread dedicated to Teepee Canyon Agates. Rough, slabs, cabs, spheres, etc. - All examples are welcome!

Wow! Amazing stuff, jasoninsd. Hard to pick faves, but #4-6 are pretty spectacular.

Definitely not too big! If I could make them bigger, I would. Those are amazing! You hit the jackpot on that trip!

Wow! Amazing stuff, jasoninsd . Hard to pick faves, but #4-6 are pretty spectacular. Thanks Stephan! I got through another bucket, so I've got just about one bucket left to cut. I can't wait to post a pic of all the slabs I got out of this last trip! Definitely not too big! If I could make them bigger, I would. Those are amazing! You hit the jackpot on that trip! Thanks Brian! And just to think...these are the ones that were laying around that someone else "discarded" or "dismissed" as not being good enough to take home! That means I can't wait to start digging/mining for the ones that they would have considered "keepers"! Teepee Thursday, the day before Fairburn Friday. I like the way you're thinking Rick! If I go hounding at Teepee Canyon on a Tuesday, I could be ready to post pics on Thursday...then I could go hounding for Fairburns on Wednesday to be ready to post pics on Friday! LOL **Please note that I did not block out ANY of these pictures...unlike the teasing type coverups a certain miket did!

Those are some sweet fortifications. You grabbed some nice ones! Thank you so much! Some of them were like cutting into Thundereggs...you never know what might be on the inside!

Thanks for the show. Maybe if I put teepee Thursday’s alongside Fairburn Friday photos, I’ll learn the difference.
What a collection! Thanks!

Hopefully I'll be able to update this thread on a more regular basis. I'm not saying I'm right...but for me, when I see the brown matrix and the red/orange colors in the fortifications I immediately think Teepee Canyon Agate. That's not a 100% accurate identification tool, but it's a starting point.

9 was made in Wonka's jawbreaker factory. That's redonkulous.

That's a bunch of really nice stuff, thanks for the show. My opinion, I don't like having to scroll to see a complete picture.

I like "Teepee Tuesday" about as much as "Turd Tuesday"
There's no reason not to have more than one each day of the week. My chief concern is you guys keep finding more to show us!

9 was made in Wonka's jawbreaker factory. That's redonkulous. Thanks bunches! I totally see a Wonka connection! I think the cab I make out of this will have to be called the Teepee Gobstopper Jawbreaker! LOL Now if I can just find my "golden ticket"! LOL That's a bunch of really nice stuff, thanks for the show. My opinion, I don't like having to scroll to see a complete picture. Thank you so much! I totally understand about the scrolling. I usually don't like to have to do that either. There was just so much detail in some of the fortifications, that I thought bigger pictures was the only way to really show those off. I like "Teepee Tuesday" about as much as "Turd Tuesday" There's no reason not to have more than one each day of the week. My chief concern is you guys keep finding more to show us! Thanks Randy! If I had my say about it, I'd be down there every other day looking for them! LOL - I get so excited about my finds, I show them off all at once, rather than spreading them out! LOL Those are great. 6 is my fav. Thanks Beth! That druzy pocket was a nice little surprise! I haven't decided what I'm going with that piece just yet. It's a wedge shape at the moment. I may cut the slabbette to around 1/2" wide and face polish the one side - leave it as a "specimen" piece - which I don't do a lot of, but this one kind of deserves it.

So nice- and good idea for a thread! I guess since I've posted most of mine already I need to either go through my buckets or get my tail back up there...

Thanks Robin! I'm pretty excited to work some of these...in fact they kind of jumped to the head of the line! LOL So nice- and good idea for a thread! I guess since I've posted most of mine already I need to either go through my buckets or get my tail back up there... Thanks Mike! I think you need to do both!

The first pic is from the trip to Teepee Canyon today. This fissure was located in the same spot as the first pics in the thread. The fissure is about 14" wide, 4 feet high, and about 15.feet deep. I wanted so badly to try and squeeze in there as I could see Teepee Canyon Agate nodules in the sides of the fissure. HOWEVER, the entire area is extremely unstable...so it was an easy decision not to try it. I had to actually bust nodules out of the walls of the dig site today. Got a couple nice ones. I got one massive nodule, but it is whole, so I don't know if there's fortifications or not yet. I'll have to cut it to find out. The second pic is one of the pieces from the last trip. Yes, it has jumped to the next in line spot! LOL - I think it looks like the Batman symbol.
