I have seen references to tuning the Lot-O from vague mention of it in instructions to different posts. I know it involves moving the dowel rod under the springs and ensuring it has a full load when doing so. However, has anyone done this and willing to share experience? Ie. move rod forward or back to increase action? How far to move (barely or inches)?
Thanks, Steven

Ie. move rod forward or back to increase action? How far to move (barely or inches)? Thanks, Steven I HAD to tune ours yesterday. It involved removing two springs, the globs of hot glue and prying the brad nails out of the base. A bit of a hassle but not difficult. As far as where and how much to move it all depends on where yours was set to begin with. Ours was off by a half inch on one side and 3/8” on the other (it was not installed square). If you are having an issue (that is the only reason I tore into ours) I suggest breaking the dowel free, setting it back under the springs with everything tightened up, and running a load. You will be able to find a sweet spot watching it run. Mark that location and and affix how you like. I have a plan to rework it a bit tonight to make it somewhat adjustable, if I get done early enough I’ll post some pictures.
