I've had pretty good luck so far using a fine Sharpie, but on occasion it does wash off certain materials. I may have to give the aluminum a go! What you’re doing is working well. I rough grind my girdle to the outside of the line, then fine sand the girdle to the inside. That's basically what I'm doing. I take the 80 grit to within a hair's width of the line, then use the 180 grit down to the line. Sometimes I'll let the 220 soft get it there too.

hey jase was there ever a resolution to the fine grit lap scratching ? Hey Ed, Eastwind did replace the disks. I was having good luck, but then they started scratching again the other day. Maybe they're still not broken in yet... Here's a link to the update: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/post/1165449/threadThanks Stephan! I tried using a silver Sharpie, but it bled way too much. Maybe that particular marker was just crap...

I thought I had already posted on this thread, but apparently I kept getting distracted by the photos.
That Bot is beautiful and the cab suits it perfectly.
I’m partial to the blue-containing picture jaspers but the scenes in those more than makes up for the lack of blues. Great job on framing all of those scenes!

I too am partial to the blue-containing picture jaspers, but as much as I kept cutting this one, there was no blue! LOL This morning I started to cut that 20 pound piece I posted a picture of earlier in the thread, but it's about an inch too tall for my 10" saw...so I've got to figure out what I'm going to do...
