So, I've read that as long as you can fit the rock through the Lot-O's opening, you can tumble it. But, what other adjustments do you need to make? (Such as % ceramic media or putting less rocks in the barrel.) Below are some rocks I have that have been through coarse phase and are ready to go into the 120/200 stage grit. The one I am holding is about 3 1/2 inches long and an inch thick. the flat ones in front are about 2 1/2-3" square, but only 1/2" thick. I'm really not sure about putting the top two in the Lot-O - they are big boys. I definitely want to play it pretty safe. My other option is to wait until I have a full load to put into my Model B.

I will add that this brown squarish rock gave the Lot-O a little trouble. I swear I could hear its tone change as that one traveled down the back of the barrel. It is about 1 3/4" at its widest point. But I was able to tumble these two flatter rocks with no trouble:

I've tumbled a few decent size rocks in one load of lot o and if remember correctly I had bit of trouble keeping things moving for more than 24 hrs. So just moved them along once couldn't get action going again. Didn't seem to hurt the shine any. Here's some pics of the larger ones and the whole load minus ceramics. This is biggest I've done in lot o. Barely squeezed in the lot o at its widest points. Didn't have any issues with it but ran it with smaller rocks and lots of ceramics. I'd put aside the biggest and your most favorite ones and do individually when able to and chunk the others in and give it shot.

oldschoolrocker those are beautiful, and that is a big one at the end! I think that the reason my Lot-O had some trouble with the one rock is that it had sharper angles. I think it may be important to smooth the rocks in coarse longer for the Lot-O to move them easily. I'll definitely try a big one by itself soon!
