A beautiful Central WI day. While checking fence lines, I found some nice rocks. These range from about 2.5” to 4.5”. Some are a mix of Jasper/Quartz. Some unknowns. Some of the usual Granite with opal like inclusions. I have a tough time capturing the milky blue color in these, so they usually look white in photos. Had to get a photo of a random tent caterpillar before ending it’s life. It was crawling where I was photographing. There are no nests near where I was photographing, so this one must have crawled over 50 yards to get to the step. Group shot of rocks and some individuals. Area found. My property that I am leasing to a farmer the left. Next door neighbor property/driveway to the right. Everything. A Quartz/Jasper. Another Quartz/Jasper mix. Dunno know for sure. Looks like Jasper and Quartzite. Granite with the blueish, Opal like inclusions. Another Quartz/Jasper. Finding rocks that have blue/green Quartz in uncommon around here. Yellow Jasper. Quartz with pink and purple. White Chert with interesting patterns. Granite with the blueish, Opal like inclusions. Chert with cool patterns. Outer area is a cream color with iron like lines. Inner area is more grey. No clue on what this is, but liked it. Has a look of Quartzite and quartz. The black lines are about 2 mm deep. Yellow jasper/chert. Looks to have some crystal pockets. The random caterpillar. Black Chert with red Jasper. Cool Granite. Thanks for looking.

These are beautiful, fernwood . Do you have any recommendations for rockhounding sites in the Osh Kosh area? My husband and I will be in the area for the airshow in July. I was wondering about driving to Sheboygan to get to Lake Michigan. Is there anything to find there? Doesn't have to be agates, but I'd ove to find some nice rocks to polish. Even your jasper looks different than what I find here in Missouri, so I'm pretty easy to please!
