Hi All, I took some pics of some of the meteorites in the Melbourne museum which I think may be of interest to us rockhounds. and another cool looking one enjoy Jack

Cool! Thanks for posting the pics! ...but they're a bit out of focus and motion blurred. We can't all be rock hound/photographers I guess

Sure , the quality of the fotos is not too good, but it is the best I could get , indoors and through safetyglass in that museum. Also trying to avoid the reflection of other lights on the showcase.I don't think I was allowed to take the pics, I was told not to after about half an hour.

Wow Jack those are really cool, always wondered what a meteorite looked like. I think you did good on the pics considering it was through the glass and you was sneakin' them. *smile* That second one looks like it was painted with gold or something. Coooooooool!!

I can get golf ball sized meterories (from China) if anyone is interested at cost plus shipping. Cost is around $15.00 - $20.00 each and no I don't have pics but can get some if anyone is really interested.
