Welcome to RTH ! from Ed in Phoenix Tell us more Lived in the Prescott area long? What part of the hobby are you interested in? Sorry, I have been busy and distracted. I always liked collecting rocks and gave all of my previous collections to my daughter, she loves rocks too! I have been in Prescott full time for about a year now but I had been here part time for the previous four years. I just got a tumbler a few weeks ago and I hope I can get good at it. I want to get out and find some good places to collect anything and everything cool.

Welcome from Chino Valley! Glad you joined the forum. Have you joined the Prescott Gem and Mineral Club? Not yet but I plan on going to their meeting in July.

A late welcome, afterburnt. Six tumblers and 100 pounds of rocks; you're going to need more rocks! Most people really love this hobby (an understatement!) once they start. Good luck with your first batch, looking forward to pictures.

Good luck with your first batch, looking forward to pictures. I've completed three or four experimental/educational batches with pretty good results. They were mostly a mix of odds and ends. The good stuff is still in process.

I finally made my first meeting. Were any of you there? I didn't much meet anyone but I will on the next field trip.

Awwww coprolite - we missed it. Have been looking forward to meeting you.
We'll be at the next meeting - for the election.
We hope you enjoy the Dobell Ranch field trip. We did, a few years ago - except for getting sandblasted by 60+ mph winds. It was still fun.
