Welcome to the group. You'll find several members in the Prescott area. I'm a new arrival to AZ but long-time RTH'er and live near Dewey-Humboldt. I'm sure Hummingbirdstones #1 and #2 will be checking in soon.

We moved to AZ about 6 years ago and started to rock hound, she has always picked up shells and rocks, but I’m a newbie we collect anything that looks cool. I started to tumble about 4 years ago, still learning. We love agates, jasper, obsideon or as the name sales ooo shiny. Lol we just got back from Oatman area collecting Fire agate. We went during heat wave lol we are gluttons for punishment, lol

right on ooshiny  got my attention with that trip to Oatman never been its on my bucket list or should I say LadMo Bag list ha ha I can imagine it was hot and the Fire agates be smelting Thanks for the mor Sound real interesting Maybe we’ll cross paths Down that rocky road

We’re going back in October lol hopefully cooler, there is rock shop on east side before you head in, Jack and Paul take people to their float location, for tips on Sundays. But if you want to hard rock mine, Cuesta mine is a pay site with Don, that man knows his fire Agate’s. I suggest giving it a try, we pulled several nice specimens from him, then went float hunting with Jack and Paul, we hung out with them and talked about fire agates also. Good times, Paul brings Damascus knives, I’m a sucker for them too. Lol
