i posted the cab( rainbow jasper from Kim) a few days back, here is the finished product, riverstone, glass beads and swarovski crystals with gold findings: here is the scaled plate and a few more cabs: closeups...petwood?? this last green one i worked over and over till i was finally happy with it, it was thin, so hard to get a even, polished dome. the tigereye needs a little more trimming to fit and then i will bead that up next...... thanks for looking!! Man KD I just love looking at your necklaces, you have such a great talent for matching the beads. They never look over done, always just perfect. Dang that's pretty, someone is going to get a lovely Christmas present aren't they. Thanks for posting pics.

KD you have a wild talent for matching up the stone with the colors in the necklace! I would love to hunt through your stash of beads & run my fingers through the beads!! My stash is limited to delicas & seedbeads and a few other shapes... pretty pathetic and unless I can sell many I'm stuck with what I have. Now here are my questions: What are they strung on? Where do you get your cinch mounts? I'm looking for some for my "wildlife cab" do you have to order the exact size or can you get pretty close & it still looks good if you don't have the correct size?

thanks for the compliments, rock friends!
Tweet, i typically use #3 "Silkon" thread from Fire Mountain (www.firemountaingems.com). i get most or all of my beading supplies there, but i get my cinch mounts at Rio Grande (www.riogrande.com).
you have to be fairly close to the size for the prefab mounts, i'm still getting the hang of them. to date, i do them a little oversize on the dop and then "fine tune" them by hand...tedious business, but that is the only way i have been able to succeed.
i'll be posting that tiger eye necklace tomorrow (i hope), thanks,
KD
