I have been tumbling rocks for only a short time but recently I came to realize how the texture of slurry is similar to sculpting clay. Can I use slurry this way and make crafts out of it like you do clay?

Possibly. I know when mine dries out it cracks and crumbles like clay. Probably won't be as "pure"

If you are tumbling agates and jaspers the main mineral is SiO2 (quartz) so think fine sand. Normal clays are usually high in Al2O3 which is aluminum oxide. or in the case of kaolinite Al₂Si₂O₅₄. so there is some cross over but normal slury would be short of the aluminum oxides which cause it to act differently than fine sand.
