I have my tumbler (Lortone 33b) operating in my home's garage and have paused my tumbler due to the tempatures reaching 100 degrees or more. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has a general idea of what a safe operating temperature for my tumbler would be. Thanks in advance!

My 33B and QT6 are both running in my garage right now in FL. It's almost always 10 degrees hotter in the garage than it is outside, so it's easily getting to be 100 degree in my garage too. So far no issues, but this is my first summer with them.

no tumbler but I have operated machinery in intense heat
I'm sure they operate better 'n cooler weather
nonetheless, garage rock is hot and the roll must go on !

Thank you. I will probably be starting my tumbler back up on Tuesday because hopefully the outside tempatures will have fallen a bit.

The motors in the 33bs are rated for high temp. With that said making sure the vent holes on bottom are not blocked would be good. Also don't stack things around or close that would inhibit airflow. I run my two in the garage and during the summer in FL and have a small desktop fan I turn on to blow over them to help.
