The Howardite/ Royal Flamingo rough was 3 pounds. I'm particular about pattern so the yield will be about 6 preforms. Anyone who wants the leftovers can have them. The Blue Dream produced on preform. The Mescalero produced two, one on each side. I bought a fairly expensive polished specimen that had more fractures than I saw. I cut and trimmed one preform, bottom right and will deal with the rest of he item later.

I trimmed some Morgan Hill that didn't have many design choices except for the last two.

Sometimes things go well. Vugs almost gone from the Morgan Hill. Nice pattern on the Royal Flamingo. Polish showed the pattern on the Blue Dream and I was able to avoid the vug just below the bottom. The Mescalero had vugs/fractures which the nature of brecciated material. Minor fracture on a girdle that went away when I squared it. Red letter day.

Today didn't go as well. I tried to trim 2 Mescalero preforms and they both fractured in the same place. The Morgan Hill in the center had a vug near the left edge and I moved the pattern as far right as possible and then kept making the cab smaller until the vug was almost gone. I knew it ended up smaller but when I measured, it was 36x26 and started 40x30.
