Well the weather cooled down a bit so I worked in the garage for a while and decided to fire up the saw. There was a hunk of Pet wood still in their so I went ahead and ran it. Got some oil still leeching out of the cracks as I had to hurry up and finish as a bad storm moved in and it was hailing into the open door. This is a hunk of AZ pet wood. I'm actually pretty surprised with how solid it is.  I have at least one more slices to take before it needs to be re-clamped, but that will have to wait for another day. |

That’s some beautiful pet wood! When I first saw the little thumbnail image on my phone, it looked more like rainbow obsidian with those colors.

You are definitely getting some nice slices out of that new "toy"!  I'll agree with the likeness to Rainbow Obsidian. I just cut some RO for the first time yesterday! Those pet wood slabs look a lot more "solid" than any pet wood I've cut. They look like they could produce some nice cabs!  |
