I had a slab that I marked preforms on a while ago. Lots of options on both sides, but I decided to use what I had already laid out. before.  [a   I had a Morgan Hill slab from Paul that has atypical patterns and decided to work on one of them.  |

The Deschutes jasper is fantastic because of such color and band spacing.

The slab was about 2x2.5 inches and a beautiful small display slab. I don't collect anything but wasn't in a hurry to cut it. My inventory of Blue Biggs/ Deschutes cabs has shrunk and my body isn't as beat up as usual, so I decided to work on these.

Those are beautiful. I'm always torn about preforming Deschutes. I mark it and change my mind so many times that I don't end up cutting it.

I got this one yesterday for $10.50 plus tax and combined shipping. Thin (5mm) slab but I should be able to get some cabs out of it.  |
