I had a slab that I marked preforms on a while ago. Lots of options on both sides, but I decided to use what I had already laid out. before. [a I had a Morgan Hill slab from Paul that has atypical patterns and decided to work on one of them.

The Deschutes jasper is fantastic because of such color and band spacing.

Those are awesome. The first ones look like pheasant feathers

The slab was about 2x2.5 inches and a beautiful small display slab. I don't collect anything but wasn't in a hurry to cut it. My inventory of Blue Biggs/ Deschutes cabs has shrunk and my body isn't as beat up as usual, so I decided to work on these.

Those are beautiful. I'm always torn about preforming Deschutes. I mark it and change my mind so many times that I don't end up cutting it.

I got this one yesterday for $10.50 plus tax and combined shipping. Thin (5mm) slab but I should be able to get some cabs out of it.
