The Ohio Flint resembles some Butterfly Wing jasper.

I will definitely concur with your assessment of the Ohio Flint! The variety of pattern and the sheer workability of the material makes it one of my favorites too! The first and the fourth ones are the bomb! (I like the others as well, but those two were standouts to me! )

Wish I had had more time before cab contest closed to cut into more of the flint cuz since then I've found quite a bit of breccia in variety of colors and patterns.

I'm in love with picture #4! It's gorgeous! That flint is a beautiful material. Is it commercially available at all?

I can see why! Number 2 is amazing but all of them are great. I didn't know that Flint could be so brecciated.

Not commercially available that I know of but have seen a few ppl selling small amounts of it on etsy and ebay. Likely self collected and also likely collected from nethers farm. Which I think is only place on flint ridge open to public for collecting. That's where I collected this material. Was in Ohio last month for a funeral and fortunately had little extra time for my daughter and I to dig around for cpl hours. Quite a bargain @for $7.50 ebtry fee and 50 cents a pound of as much of it as you wanna take home. Pretty awesome druzy and crystal pockets too.

My daughter dug this up from one of the pits. It was mostly covered with clay but could feel there were lots of crystals. Then she cleaned it all up to reveal an E which is first letter of her first and last name. She is still super excited about it!

Beautiful. Pic 4 reminds me of The storm on the sea of Galilee painting. Very cool

I can see how that could become a favorite. So far Polish flint and Mozarkite are the only flint/cherts I have cut cabs from so far, I think.

Very nice. I echo your sentiment about the material. It was one of my favorites to throw in the tumbler.

Beautiful cabs, indeed! I also like the variety of the shapes of your cabs.
