Gem master was good enough to do a trade with me and I though I might post an example of the Jasper he sent. I was new to this stone and though it is similar in appearance to Deschutes or Biggs Jasper, once you work with it you can tell it is a different composition. This stuff is really hard and even though it is porous it polishes to an excellent finish. The lines and patterns are amazing, and these stones are filled with designs. Here is is rough- Then a slab I cut- The cab as a result- I don't know if he is still up for trading. Contact him if you are interested. I like this material and I can assure you, he is above board and generous. No size indicator again (doh!) The cab is the width of a quarter. -Banjo

the georgia queen iis available ,will entertain any sincere requests. the banjo is a wise instrument and well tuned,i ithank him for his perception and vision. all of the picture jasper from oregon formed in rhyolite lava there is no lava here in georgia was formed oddly enough at roughly the same eocene geological age as the biggs etc, the formation here was in limestone[chalk] and red clay laid down in a ocean that covered this entire southern part of georgia, . if you have pits and th ey cannot be guaranteed aganst use crazy glue fill holes aftfter next to last sanding and polish voila ,solved if this irock had had stable enviorment as biggs it would be as pure and as costly. talk to me . gemmater will reduce stock by half tumble to cab grade..nice cab work brother banjo ...

Hey Banjo, nice cab. Have you cut any of the white stone yet? You selected just the right area of the slab to compliment the shape, or visa-versa. Either way great job. Good to see your work.

the material{georgia queen picture jasper] will tumble polish beautifully , there are several variations of picture rock from the jones pit site, now a pond ,a 3.5 acre pond. it also has 5or6 types of agate including moss, dendritic, blue, gray , some yellow, and pieces that contain picture jasper and agate in the same rock . i have a lot of tumbling sized pieces to sell or trade with the 7.70 box how could you go wrong? the type with white is the scarsest by amount i mined , these georgia summers are brutally hot with high humidity getting this rock to share was labor but love , a hard labor of love. i have tumbled 50- pounds or more sold it, traded it or given a few to friends . finding rock ,good rock in ga. is tough no public lands, was lucky. get in soon to get your share combine order with a friend . e-mail me , gemmaster

the georgia queen is being resorted as best i can so large an amount of rock. i tried to send banjo some premium rock as i know he is a showman, and skilled cutter/crafter. iam grading ,checking for patterns and , sizing the rough as best i can most of the large boulders i can get in the old 18 great westrn saw working to get 10inch saw sized pieces and cutting slabs on the 12 inch lortone. so i should be ready for you sharp shoppers and wise traders. gemmaster
