Good morning everyone,
I recently bought a Lortone QT6, I just started a new batch and didn't have the silver cover on tight enough. A small amount of grit and water leaked - not much, I caught it right away. But my problem is that when I unplugged the machine, somehow the screw for the barrel guide snapped off while the tumbler was slowing to a stop. I can't get the rest of the screw out right now... and my barrel is just sitting with grit and water. I've tried to look this up but couldn't find anything, is it OK to run without the guide?

I would not think it would be ok to run it without the barrel guide. I think this because barrels tend to wander up and down when without a guide and it may cause the barrel to rub against the frame and damage the barrel or frame.i believe you can order a replacement guide on the rockshed.

You could also just go to a nearby tool store and buy a screw that fits.

Thanks. I actually have a screw that'll work, I just can't get the broken piece out of the metal frame. I'll get it, just was getting frustrated and needed to walk away for a bit.

I had an old tumbler that the guide broke on and it wandered until the lid hit the next thing. Which ground a ring around the aluminum lid effectively cutting it in a circle. Had to buy a new outer lid.
