1) Motor turns and the drive shaft doesn't. Adjust belt tension, replace belt are good options. Do not oil the belt, ever.
2) Motor and drive shaft turns, barrel doesn't. I have found that removing the drive shaft and slipping a piece of shrink tubing onto the shaft and heating (shrinking) the tube will solve this for a long time. When things slick up and start to slip again, cut the old off and put on new.
3) Motor does not turn. See above for brush repair, motor maintenance, get a new motor.
4) Unplug your tumbler and let it sit. A couple of hours. Turn it back on and listen and watch as the rocks start to tumble again. What you are seeing is the conglomerate busting up. It may be so hard you need to smack the barrel to bust it up. Any rate as posted, it will be seriously off balance until it is properly tumbling again

I recently had a QT66 stop working Belt was slipping on the small silver pulley mounted to the motor Tightening the belt would not fix it Discovered that the little Silver Pulley was worn out The "V" in the little pulley had widened and no longer could Grab the belt Rock Shed had them in-stock for less than $5

I have a Leegol tumbler and before I put the barrels on for stage 4 I cleaned the tumbler and then oiled it. Now the barrels won't spin. Belt looks fine, the shafts spin. I thought maybe I got oil on the shafts or barrels so I cleaned them with Dawn Power-Wash, that didn't help. Then I decided to put a rubber band around the barrels and now they spin. I know the rubber bands aren't going to last long, what else can I do? This machine has only been used for 4 weeks. The company is no help at all, I've tried contacting them 4-5 times for other questions I had and they never respond. Thanks in advance.

ambrose1008 I have a small 3 lb Lortone. I’m not familiar with your tumbler. But sometimes my barrel doesn’t spin when I start it up and I’ve actually found that having it fuller helps. If it’s not full enough, I don’t know, it doesn’t get the momentum or something to get going and I have to help it roll and then it’ll usually keep going. Since you switched to step 4 is your rock capacity diminished compared to your initial steps? Did you add any filler materials?

I'd try roughing up the shaft/barrel with some sandpaper.. Then clean it with something that leaves no residue like windex.
