Of course, I love the Noreena. I have some Noreena cabs I need to get wire-wrapped!
That Mushroom Jasper (or is it Rhyolite?) has some of the best pattern I've seen. That's flat-out gorgeous!

Some great-looking slabs there. Nice patterns all around. Are the last ones obsidian. jasoninsd you are correct. It is a rhyolite, like many “jaspers”. Even many true jaspers are called “highly silicified rhyolite”.

I really like mushroom jasper! Yours have some good patterns and are a good size for cabs.

I have a couple of those. Kambaba makes great flaming eyeballs, but green just doesn't work for Sauron ETA: obsidian can make some flow bands that very much resemble agate: Banded obsidian freeform by Stephan T., on Flickr

That Noreena can be frustrating. If your material is anything like mine, that is the nicest it will ever look, because it is either: 1. full of fractures, both obvious and not so obvious; or (2) incapable of being polished. I have bought twice from two sellers I trust. One lot looked great but turned into toothpicks and shards when slabbed. The other lot is more solid but simply will not shine. Not even a little. I have given up on the Noreena, but I wish you well with it.

I have one more chunk but going to wait to cut it until the saw is closer to a clean out.
