I have an old 15 pound tumbler that uses the same barrel as the Thumbler's model B.
I bought a new top gasket, but I still am getting leaks. I've tried turning the screws tighter, and less tight.
Is there some sort of liquid gasket I can put between the barrel liner and the top gasket to stop the leaks?

I don't think so. Sounds like you need to replace the barrel too. Make sure everything is clean and check if the leak is really from the top or the barrel misshapen. In the end, I would no longer trust it, unless the issue was dirt on the rim.

Is it dry when you seal it? Sometimes that is the problem.

If the lid has been over tightened and no longer flat that creates problems. cleaning is key though. Another guy I used to know swore by his tube of Vaseline, seems like a pain to clean to me so have never tried that.
Also inspect the liner if you take it out, I've seen cracks that are pretty hidden on the shoulders. ymmv.

Is it a metal barrel with a rubber liner? If so, you can thicken the lid liner/gasket using a piece of old inner tube.

I would double check the rubber liner, you can fix those if you can find the crack.
I also make my own lid gaskets from Showerstall pan membrane liners, you can buy it by the foot at most tile stores or Lowes or Home Depot.

I use two lid gaskets on my TT B which allows me to tighten them and not worry about cracking them because of over tightening. They are not expensive. Any barrel cracks should be obvious and if you find cracks just get a new barrel. It is not worth messing around trying to save it and making a mess of the tumbler. rocktumbler.com/thumlers/model-b-tumbler-parts.shtml

Just an update...My Thumbler B barrel liner is dead, and the machine is really old. I want to replace it with another machine 12 or more pounds with edges in the barrel (not rounded.) Unfortunately, I can't find the Lortone QT12 or a reliable online dealer for the Thumbler B... I re-hashed a thread on the Covington Eng. brand...but I really just want the Lortone QT12 !!!
