Hi Victor Hope you don’t mind if I add my scanty knowledge about copper ores I’m a bit ashamed about that being from the Copper State A while back I took a tour of this old copper mine in Globe Az. The city made it into a huge park. No fee and ya can just stroll in and explore this huge area Its called the Old Dominion Mine Park ! So this piece of copper ore glinted at me It not a great picture and rock is full of pyrite But I swear that glint to the right is a spot of gold I did some initial experiments on it out in the field & I have the rock. Haven’t explored it further

Mohs, you or anyone else can add to any thing I post. This was added/created simply because I thought it was timely.

The first one strikes me as being Blue Bird Azurite from the Blue Bird mine in Globe/Miami, the second one is probably some spider web variscite. All real nice pieces.

Those brick cabs look like bone of a beast whose bones are made of copper. Very interesting.

I found similar looking blue at an abandoned copper/gold mine. The blue looked like paint. Unfortunately, the ones I collected were disappointing after cut.

The blue in that first picture is incredible! Copper sure does produce some gorgeous colors.
The fire brick cabs are fantastic. The cellular structure reminds me of dino bone.

As others have stated, the blues in those first pics are stunning! I'll second what Ed said about those bricks looking like Dino Bone! Amazing!

The fire bricks have always amazed me. Am hoping the people who usually have some for sale are at the local rock club show/sale in August.

Thanks all for the response on name, location pictures and another azurite cab. The picture color is accurate and is in fact unbelievable. The firebrick cabs do look like dino bone and are interesting.

Found this boulder the side of the road of Chandler Blvd ( the south side of south Mountain) I think it’s a copper ore of mostly Chyrscholla ? It was placed there for decorative purposes Good placement theory hope to take another drive that way soon after monsoon
