Michael, those are amazing. That is one of the best scenes in a rock- fantastic, sir! Thanks Mike! I usually see scenes in cabs that others don't so I'm always happy when can capture a scene that isn't created just by my overactive imagination

Just beautiful. Are you going back to collect more? I was thinking about going this fall if the border opens. Thank you! Will definitely be going back! I thought I had collected enough to last me long enough until I get bored with the material but now I don't know if that's possible lol. I have an uncle who lives In Lima, Ohio that we plan on staying with for a week or so next summer. It's a 2.5 hr drive each way from his house and as long as plans don't change then il definitely be going back at least once that week. I was bit worried that it would be difficult to find good material since I'd heard there has been big uptick in visitors there since pandemic. But we found lot of material that way exceeded my expectations. Lots of crystal and druzy material too so great fun for kids also. Plus it's good size area to collect with at least 8-10 good size pits several feet deep and can dig anywhere. And it's in the woods so there was tons of shade. We were only ones there when we went. It was awesome time and I'd recommend that anyone who has chance to go should take it.

There's probably enough people on this forum in love with this material, that you could take "orders" and help pay for the trip! LOL

I had thought about when I went but didn't know ahead of time and also flew there so rocks rode home with brothers family and had limited amt of space I could fill. But is great idea and will be driving there myself next time so for sure will

I was told about this place and rock by a fellow who owns a rock shop. His exact words are "the highest quality of stone within driving distance". Unfortunately for me, the border had already closed and remains closed. When he was down there, people were hitting it hard for material to make arrowhead points and not the coloured lapidary material. It is definitely on my bucket list.

Yeah I'd heard about the uptick in volume there from Knappers so was worried it be slim pickings but was happy to find out they aren't after the same flint I was.. there were lot of quality flint piled up next to trees and away from the pits. Almost all had crystal veins and druzy pockets throughout so I assume those were rejects/left overs from flint Knappers.

Awesome! I especially love the color and pattern in #4 ad the last one. Thank you! That last one is one of my favorites also. So much going on in that one. Kinda odd too bc the slab was pretty plain w just one litte hodgepodge of colors and patterns.

I've come back to stare at these pictures several times! LOL I love that first one...but the last one you have pictured is my favorite by far...just because of all that's going on in it. However, the arm reaching for the stone in that first one is off the charts cool!
