Cool looking rock. Not sure what it is, but some type of conglomerate.

Cool looking rock. Not sure what it is, but some type of conglomerate. It is a neat looking rock. Was in fact really surprised to find them in my batch of agates. They tumbled pretty well so far, so I'll keep them going I guess.😅

This looks like brecciated jasper in my opinion I agree. I think this is definitely a form of jasper.

Could it be puddingstone? I don't really think so.. If it is, it's a very rare puddingstone to find.. Since I can't find any with that much jasper in it and where there's no jasper, it's clear. Might be a mix of pudding stone and some type of conglomerate rock with clear quartz and agate. Is there a name for such a thing?

Where did you find it? This Wikipedia article kind of explains how diverse it can be. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puddingstone_(rock)It’s so cool to see younger people start tumbling. A lot of us are old codgers.

I’ll put in a third vote for brecciated jasper.

Where did you find it? This Wikipedia article kind of explains how diverse it can be. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puddingstone_(rock)It’s so cool to see younger people start tumbling. A lot of us are old codgers. I actually picked those up at the princess Sodalite Mine in Bancroft, ON. It's a place where they bring all sorts of rocks and you get to farm them in an enclosed space. Really nice experience, and I honestly wish I had picked those up by myself to tell you were these came from. I'd love to know myself as well. Maybe the mine has info about these. I actually really thought that these were agates at first when they were rough. They didn't show those patterns at first so that's what made me confused here. As some people said in here already, it looks really close to brecciated jasper and that's what it might be afterall. I find them really pretty however. My favorite thing about these is the deep and endless space that separates the pieces of jasper. Can't wait so see them polished 😁
