Excellent design, Bill. I really like the repetition of shapes: backplate + bail and setting + jump ring.

I also like your sandpaper texture on the backplate. It almost looks like you may have darkened it. Regardless, the texture and any tarnishing in its cavities will really highlight the setting.

The backplate was a new experiment for me. I fused silver filings to it prior to soldering the bezel. Then darkened it afterwards with liver of sulfur.
