I really dig that style with those picture jaspers. There is just something about those colors with that wrap style that works very well together.

It's a mental struggle for me to orient these horizontally. Oftentimes I try to get the most cabs out of a slab...rather than the best cab out of a slab. Most of the time doing them vertically, I get more cabs out of a slab. I do think the horizontal orientation gives a better landscape picture...so I need to stop worrying about "waste" sometimes and just go for the better overall cab. It's a slippery slope for me. I totally agree...I can stare at any picture jasper that has a good "scene" for what seems like forever! I was going through some of the other picture jasper I haven't worked yet looking for "just the right scene"...and it can be really hard to get the amazing ones. I think I've got some other ones that are pretty good...but not really amazing. |
